The Jacksonboro Light is a phenomenon that has been reported by many witnesses in the vicinity of Jacksonboro. In the late 19th century, a preacher in search of his missing daughter was struck by a train while searching for her by lantern at night. Witnesses report seeing the swaying lantern light and the outline of the deceased preacher along Parkers Ferry Road at night when a train whistle is sounded.
